Default Mod day and how to do group buys?

Is that mod day still going on guys? Last I heard it was for end of May or June..

I figured that I cant be the only person wanting to lower my car, so why dont we try some kind of group buy with pedders or KING?? I will be wanting to do shocks while I am at it and think ill just go the Monroe or Pedder route, Koni's are a bit much and its not exactly a Porsche so it would be overkill anyway.

So for those who have done it before, how do you organise a group buy? Do you have to know someone in the industry? Or can anyone go up to any company and attempt to make a deal? If it saves us all some cash then why not!

The latest lukey e series group buy is an example (I want some extractors soon too...lol)

Also, I think we should make some sort of "contacts" database. We all know the world revolves on who you know, so it would be good if we could help other members out

So firstly, who is keen on some superlows? Im presuming that EA-EL are all the same (can someone confirm?), if not it shouldn't be a big deal anyway.

They are the same, just find someone who works at repco or bursons and get them to get you trade price for them.

Do you know any mechanics? They would be able to get them cheaper.

Hmm..well I can kinda get trade at bursons, but I was qouted $210 for a full set of KING SL, I dont think that is much of a saving, espcially when my mate can get them for $190 through supercheap; but thats only for special purposes, ie- bdays etc etc, he cant get like 10 sets....lol

Screw everyone else, get the $190 pair from your mate. Hassle him and save a few bucks. I doubt you would get trade price with a group buy.

So you just rock up to a company and say that I am from the e series club and would like to know if you could do us a deal on x, and we have x amount of people interested?

Pretty much. I just said I have a group of friends all with the same cars, we all want sway bars. What discount could you give us if we purchase a set number? They then told me for 5 or more, give us 20% discount. Some places will say they wont do anything, others are more helpful. All about calling around and getting best deal, pretty easy to do.
