Mmmm good idea to pull off the road and do a U-turn instead of sitting in the middle of a highway waiting to get hit.
Lucky the trucky knew how to handle his rig.

I'm surprised the truckie got recognised as being a "good driver". Usually the truck drivers are responsible for global warming and clubbing baby seals in the eyes of the media.

But what you're not seeing was that Tony Abbott was stopped there for quite a while and a lot of cars
were filing through on his left, the truck driver didn't see him and nearly did us all a favor...

Oh, so now it's "cool" if someone dies on the roads is it?

Just because you don't like/agree with the man doesn't make some of the above comments right.

If he had of been driving a SIDI commo this wouldn't have happened at all, he'd still be on his way. :

+2

Indeed the truck driver was blinded to the existence of the Commonwealth car by the minibus. A very dangerous situation.

Ironically, thats why Abbott was there.

Yeah but you being a former mod (and being on here long enough) see how peoples opinions change with the wind. Only a few will stick with what they believe....anyway I'd say the joke was just that...otherwise there would be a few in the joke thread that need to be removed.

Wouldn't Tony Abbott be a passenger in the car? So I'm not sure how this is his problem? He's a federal politician, Opposition leader so he will have a driver assigned to him. Maybe you guys need to blame the driver.

Huh? I never said the commo was the better car, I said it was better then the aurion in most aspects, which the FG is too. I bought the FG because I know it's the better car, so stop assuming, doesn't mean I have to be totally one eye'd.

Wash out that sand.
