Default Car Stands On MD Mondeo ?

Is anyone else having issues trying to use your car stands on your 2015 Mondeo I can't seem to place my stands due to the car jack being in the way.

I wan't to replace my rotors and pads myself becuase the mechanics are ripping me off to do the job.

Have you tried placing them under the lower control arm? Perhaps not as high as you'd like but works for me.

I've been working on cars for more than 40 years and never had a problem. Just let the jack down carefully and make sure they're solid. I always lift the whole front using 2 jacks then place the stands.

But were can the stands go in a safe location without the jack being in the way.

It's tight but can be done. I use small trolley jacks, not the one supplied with the car.

I use a low profile jack under the subframe bolt it's hefty enough and spreads the weight over a decent area then I use stands under the pinch seam or something like that, Ford the idiots cracked the side skirt/spoiler early on and we didn't notice it till it were too late. ****ed me right off (even though it's my folks vehicle). I'll get a pic one of these days for you. I think I have a tyre rotation due soon for them.

Buy a small low profile trolley jack (e.g https://www.repco.com.au/en/tools-eq...35?search=jack or https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...kg/563848.html if it fits) with a support like this to use with your jack stands https://www.repco.com.au/en/brands/s...19?search=jack support or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rubber-S...oAAOSws3pcnxI2 and see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duQWuHdSyi8) for ideas.

Note that the factory workshop manual Section 100-02 (and doubtless also the owner's handbook in your glove-box) specifically states the jack that came with car is only designed for and, should only be used to change a deflated tyre in an emergency, and never to use that jack to hoist the car for any other purpose. Essentially, they are not stable enough to use for any mechanical repairs and maintenance where even a hand might be under the car and be crushed if they tip over.

I have two jacks one normal one low profile and it's what I have been using the car jacks are not the issue the issue is the car stands I am not able to place them in the only suitable location as the conflict with the car jacks.
