Default Sync 3 - Enable Mobile Apps disables.

When I connect my phone (Apple), I see that there's an option to 'Enable Mobile Apps'. But the toggle switch is disabled. Any idea how to get this enabled?

Connect it with a USB cable.

Guy at the Dealership told me it only works with the Apple or Belkin cables. The others don't do the job....apparently??

Mmmm. This could be true. I’m not sure if I’m using an over priced in or an eBay special.

I’ll check and confirm.

You should also check the iOS version. If you are on an old version it may not have car play. I know it works on iOS 10 and 11 but not sure about versions before that.
You will know as the display changes from the sync3 screen to a large iPhone style. Also not all apps are available only ones that are CarPlay compatible. Tunein is one example of a compatible app.
I just tried an eBay special cable and it works fine.
Good luck.
