I've got a WP Fiesta Zetec and am looking to upgrade the brakes before I go adding some performance enhancement. I've currently got slotted rotors and green stuff pads but was looking for something a bit more substantial. I've seen that a few people have done rear disc conversions but what about bigger front rotors and better calipers. Do AP do anything that I could use? I have 18s so clearance isn't an issue. Was thinking at least 300mm with 4 spot calipers.
Thanks |

With brakes that big on your fiesta when you hit the anchors your going to flip the car **** over tit!
I have a WQ fiesta as a company car, and if it could brake any better, I would get rear ended everytime i applied the brakes! |

WQ XR4 has larger front rotors and disc rears, you could look at retrofitting them to your WP.

We fitted an AP Racing kit to a fiesta i think it was earlier in the year but he purchased it himself from England because by the time we added all the extra fees and charges it was way to dear.

Thanks. Thought it might have been expensive. 300 pounds plus shipping for a 300mm conversion with standard looking (twin piston?) calipers from Pumaspeed in the UK. I think I know who you are talking about with the Ap conversion so I'll contact them.

Hi, I managed to get a full set of ST170 Focus brakes which will give me 300mm fronts and 280mm rears so it should stop a bit better. Just need to get some pads and was thinking EBC's. I currently have Green Stuff which works well but have heard that Red Stuff are even better. What are your thoughts and how much for the pads?

Matt, thanks for the help with the pads. Got the brakes fitted last weekend and if the bedding in bite is anything to go buy I can't wait till they are up to optimum. I just have to brush the pedal now and it wipes off bulk speed. A couple of shots to show how it turned out.
Front Rear Still look tiny behind the 18's but much better than stock. Don't know why I'm not getting full contact on the rear but it only appears to be on the outside as the inners are touching everywhere. I'm sure they'll wear in after a while. |
