Default Racing E-Series

I'm thinking of buying an EA/B to go racing in, Sprints, rally that sort of stuff. Has anyone else tried this. Anything I have to be wary of? Cheers Joel

I bought my one for that reason. Street, drag, and track. Set the suspension up to suit all conditions, Trying for 13-14 sec quarter engine build, which should be easy enough to handle on the track as well. There is a Hill climb track just up the road from where I live so intend on racing it there and also do the Dutton next year.
Or you could build one up purely to race in the ford v commodore series.

Yeah i'm shopping around. Thanks for all the offers guys. How much do you reckon a manual EA/B is worth. I don't really care about looks as long as its mechanically sound. The interior would get ripped out anyway.

Manual EA-EB1 manual, up to $2000 depending on condition.

EB 2 would be a bit more but well worth the extra cash.

if you are using it for racing ea-ed dont mean diddly, because you will be changing most of it anyway and at least an au motor and t5 as minimum for racing for a half stronge driveline, the box will let go before the motor.
