Default XR5 mags and kit?

Hey Guys,

New to the forum.
I recently bought a new '07 focus and wanted to buy a set of xr5 mags. I contacted Ford and they told me that they will only issue them as replacements for XR5 owners. I then had a look around the net and found a set for around $3500. Which is a bit too much.

Does anyone know of a place that sells a similar set of copies mags and know how much they are?

I am also looking for a similar xr5 kit. Im not after the xr5badges etc ( I dont wanna look like a total try hard ).

Any help would be appreciated.

http://www.european-parts.net/

They sell the Rims and the bodykit. The rims are around $370 each. Bumpers $450 and skirts $370. If you buy the bumpers and stuff together you should be able to get a special rate for shipping too. But check first.

I think its the right decision by Ford. Making these items available for people to make fake XR5's takes away the car's cred.

Besides do you really want to join the loser squads in their fake HSVs, EVOs, STIs with badly fitted/imitated kits?

It's not new. When I had the TE50, I had to go through a full interrogation to replace a lower grill, to make sure I wasn't putting it on a stock Falcon

but I must say If it aint got the numbers then its not going to devalue one with all the right ones?
Also its about providing what the people want, maybe ford has done a feasibility study on it?

I find it ok for people to put bodykits on there cars. i dont find it ok however when people go all the way to put badges on them.

p.s i find the XR5 bodykit to look awsome. both looks really sporty and yet not to over the top

cheers

Yeah thats exactly what im sayin Penko.... The styling is sweet but that badges that claim the car is something else arent in my opinion.....

On regards to Ford not wanting to devalue there brand equity, I guess it makes sense...

Surely by not selling the add ons it makes ppl get further into debt and buy the more expensive model.....

You got a point there, make them buy the car instead of building a lookalike

Like this one I saw the other night? Really neat black LR Focus. ST170 fogs and lower grill. bodykit, MP3 wheels, tinted windows etc......Great looking car.......BUT THEN THIS:

FPV badges on the boot and side skirts! Tastefully done.....but all a bit tragic really. It just doesn't exist. And those who know, know!

A bit like putting the Cobra or Superoo on the side of a KA. Don't care how much you've hotted it up....they just don't belong

Easy LS sedan and find a wrecked XR5 and use the engine...I'm sure there would be one around that some P plate drive has wrapped around a pole :P

Also Steve didn't know FPV made a LR Focus
