Default Maxed Out!

I wont see 160rwkw without a Chip or ECU change

I pretty much made same power as the 1636, with the 1636C977B, but with a better A/F Ratio & bit more Torque which should result in better track times. My car with EDXR6 ECU + XR6 300KPA Fuel Pressure Reg is Leaning out at the end of 4th, i wont make more power even with a bigger cam, without a chip or engine managment, SHATTERED! Ahh well

The Car doesnt lean out as bad as the 1636 did, and it leans out LATER in rev range which should help track times, but for power, im maxed with this engine management...

Bring On Calder!!

Nice work.....what about putting some blue top injectors in? Would that help or make it run rich in the lower revs?

Good work man, nice results

A Unichip or Flash tuner should get it running a bit more power and see some better AFR's

Should run a pretty decent time, although your last one wasnt too bad either!

i wouldnt have a clue, i was under the impression that injector change wasnt needed on the i6's unless you go turbo?

If ya running out of fuel and the injectors are at max, then bigger will help.

Get it on the dyno and get the operator to measure injector duty cycle.
Anything over 85% is starting to get beyond safe.

Grab some AU Blue tops and an XR6 regulator. They flow a bit more, might be good for an extra 7-8rwkw..

get your hands on a set of bosch 775 (blue tops) they come out in GT's, Sprints, HSV's, and 4cycl magna's. Try your local wreacker.

The only thing is, it won't have a huge effect until you get a chip and tune to use the extra fuel properly.. It'll run rich down low and give you a bit more fuel later on in the rev range..

If your O2 sensor is working properly the injector size should not matter, as the O2 sensor will detect there is extra fuel getting in and shorten the injector pulse to bring AFR's back to normal, that is the whole reason for having the O2 sensor to control the AFR's

Just don't go throwing 30 or 40lb injectors at it cause it will be outside the ecu's clabration range

I think the AU blue tops off a standrd AU I6 are only slightly bigger than standard. 21lb?

The Bluetops are 24lb and deliver quite alot more fuel..

So the bluetops will run @ 24lb? or 21lb?

i was under the impression that XR6 ecu + fuel reg runs the standard injectors @ 21lb.

Nah Grechie.

There are two different kinds.

There is the bluetops, as specified by Gunns which are from AU XR8 engines, magna's, etc.

Then there are the AU injectors i was talking about. They are all blue, and physically smaller than the E-series I6 injectors. They are from AU I6 engines. And flow more than the e-series injectors.

Try the AU ones first, then grab blue tops with engine management as the next step.

yeh grechie, but dont forget, to do it right you would go AU XR8 Bluetop injectors (24lb) and a unichip of some sought.

Dave (Thanatos) had roughly the same setup as you and managed 175rwkw(?) with a unichip and the bluetop injectors.

They wont be big enough for your application. They flow 200cc/min. You need 249 cc to produce a but more power. It should idle ok as its not a huge change.Talk to powerflow injection.Theyll give you what you need.

Set a realistic goal.Going to big will have the car give more top end power but be a can of worms to tune low to midrange and idle.
