Default au1 futura grill idea

Hey guys, got an idea for my grill, I can't stand looking at my forte waterfall any longer.

I got me hands on a futura grill, and I've removed the chrome bar from the middle. I think it will be a nice unique & more aggressive look, though I'm worried about what the little shelves at either end that used to hold the chrome piece in will look like. May some kind soul with this grill please be able to find a little spare time to remove their chrome bit and photograph the grill so I can see what mine will look like?

I checked out what mine looked like on the car unpainted, but its too hard to tell. I tried photoshopping the colour but I couldn't get it right.

Greatly appreciated if possible

Cheers Nic

Yeah I was thinkin maybe black electrical tape, at least for a while, so in case I want the chrome bar back I won't have damaged the grill. Gettin it painted next sat, can't wait to see the result...

I reckon the chrome bit makes it look really nice! Each to their own though.

All the best with the project. Post up pics when you finish.

Yeah thats the ute one, and late au1 futura. Doesn't really appeal to me though.

I think its great too, thats what first attracted me. But I think it might look more like a sports grill, rather than luxury grill. Anyway if I don't like it I can put the chrome back in! I just needed to rid myself of the forte...and had a brainwave at the same time.

Will post pics on sat, thats when its getting painted.
