Default GS Hardtop, whats it worth.

Hey guys,
Im lookin at buying an XB GS hardtop, the guy wants 22k. do you reckon its worth it.

I dont have pics just yet, sorry, try to get some up soon, heres what i know.

Its a K code XB GS.
351 clevo, mildly worked, closed chamber heads, cam, edelbrock manifold, 750DP holley apparently has 10.4:1 flattops, 4mab crank, not a race motor buts sounds OK.
toploader, ( apparently XAGT?). hurst shifter, 11" clutch,
9" with detroit locker, ( apparently XAGT?).
XAGT interior,
shaker,
8 and 10 inch wheels with good tyres,
Larger XAGT fuel tank, 36gallon??
comes with, spare saas seats, 4 point harnesses and a 6 point rollcage.(not fitted).
2 pac paint, fairly ordinary.

Has rust in the usual places, sills, wheel arch, bottoms of doors, front lower gaurds, little bit in gutters.ect ect.

Apparently was a cover car about 10-15 year ago, has all the usal stuff, batt in boot, engine bay tidied up, ect ect.

I know its hard to say without seeing it in the flesh, but would 22k be fair?

let me know what you reckon,
cheers.

I honestly dont think its worth 22k, rusty with ordinary paint, but some out there will say it is.

22k sounds a little much for what it is going on what you said pics would help a little more but even then.

It sounds pricey considering the work needed, it may be cheaper in the long run to spend a little more on something in better condition.
That or try and get it cheaper.

I would say a rust free K-code factory 4 speed GS coupe in good ORIGINAL condition would probablt fetch 22K in todays market.

but going off your description the car sounds a little butchered and if rust is showing then it will only be worse if you strip the car sounds overpriced to me.

I would say a rust free K-code factory 4 speed GS Coupe in good ORIGINAL condition would be lucky to exist in Australia. Mid to low 20's for one that is straight with some minor rust and relatively unmollested would sound about right. The car in question sounds to have more than minor rust and has been molested.
