Ugh, neither, both are gruesome to my taste buds.

I think it's genetic. My hubby and I are both vegemite haters. I tried each of the kids with it a few times over the years - they can't stand the stuff either (and I didn't tell them how I felt about vegemite so as not to influence them in any way).

My old man had his gall bladder taken out when he was a teenager - so no dairy food for him! Consequently, his vegemite goes on about 2mm thick without butter.

You'd never think vitamin B was addictive until you meet my old man.

And I always thought I was the only person on earth who actually liked a layer of Vegemite on toast, instead of a thin film that is barely visible, like EVERYONE I have ever met prefers it.

Good to know I'm not the only one who actually likes to be able to taste the vegemite.

Promite and Marmite, no thanks. Neither of them taste quite right, in my opinion of course.

Weirdest thing I have ever heard of was someone who was telling me about some Japanese exchange students they knew who discovered Vegemite when they came to Australia. Only, instead of having it in a sandwich or on toast, they enjoyed putting it on top of their porridge in the mornings... Can't say I've tried that particular combination, and I don't think I ever will...

This thread is quite funny. i chose vegemite, but I do love promite as well. what is marmite?
The reason this thread is funny is the guys who say the like vegemite and don't like it too thick. i'm the same. it's nice, but it's hell awful if there is too much of it.

Japanese do strange things with our food...

I was there last year and went for pizza with the gf - she asked what type I wanted, I said anything was cool (I regret this).

The pizza came back with more corn on it than anything else!

Sorry- bit off topic :yeees:
