and its a Ford.

I did like the Audi V8 they had for a pace car at V8 Supercars a few years back. It sounded better than the race cars.

The car will be on display at the Brisbane International Motor Show, the expected price when it comes to Oz will be between $250,000 to $300,000, exact pricing has not yet been announced.

Ditto to that. I was filling my car up last nite at Mount Annan Shell, and a yellow GT pulled up next to me, blew my load on the spot! lol....

Sexy car!

Audi's don't do it for me, I hate the back-ends they have...

They've priced it well compared to cars in the same manufacturer family (that being Audi and Porsche... as Audi is part of the VW Group which Porsche owns).

Porsche 911 Carrera S - 3.8litre 261kW Flat-Six, 0-100km/h in 4.3 sec, 1/4 mile in 12.5 sec - $221,100

Audi R8 - 4.2litre 309kW V8, 0-100km/h in 4.2 sec, 1/4 mile TBA - $238,000 approx

Porsche 911 GT3 - 3.6litre 305kW Flat-Six, 0-100km/h in 4.0 sec, 1/4 mile in 12.0 sec, $251,000

Its priced between the Carrera S and GT3 and fits in exactly between them performance wise. Seems like a good move in my eyes, and a logical step up if you want to keep to the same family.

Yet its 300x cooler than a Porsche could ever pretend to be.

Ahum, what that line was meant to come across as was "Meh, who cares, another self-indulgent car from the lands of certain European countries." Im kinda over it, though I can appreciate the car, I want to see Toyota make a stunningly beautiful coupe, or the same for GM. Why do these cars have to only consistently come out of two countries?

That's purely opinion.

And there are more Porsches then just 911's. Some of those $1 million hypercars they've made in the past can out-cool most other things.

And there are Audi Diesel Le man Cars that cost more than a million bucks and can "out-cool" porsche and most things, but how is that relevant? On a more serious note, R8, very noice would have one if i could as it doesn't look like the stuff that is currently out there.

They're not road cars. Cars like the 1994 Porsche-Dauer 962 LeMans (3.0 TT Flat-Six, 545kW, 2.6 sec 0-100, 404km/h), 1996, 97, 98 911 GT1 Strassenversion (capable of 320, 350 and 370km/h respectively) etc etc are ultra-fast road going cars. There's no Audi (who's parent company is under Porsche ownership anyway) like that.
