Hi guys and girls. my car,1999 AU XR6 VCT has been mucking up a bit latey. its seems to be labouring quite bad at 60 to 80 k's, like the auto has hit top gear at low revs. thought the vct is playing up and making the motor advance timing at a low rev when in fact it should be doing it at around 100 k's. how can i do a home test with no fancy tools to check if the VCT unit is in fact working properly or not?? thanks in advance for any help provided..
