The velvet is not as flat in the middle, and has a funny little bit where it joins the rim. They are both nice looking wheels, but I'd go the koya.

the vlevets are like nothing i seen before which is probably why i like them, koyas for some reason look like a factory wheel for some reason probably because they are so simple in design, the thing i like about both is that they arent full chrome they have the shiny rim and the inner is a bit duller so its not so in your face and overdone

Are there legal issues with running 275's on the rear?

No, but there may be insurance issues with running 8's on the front and 9's on the rear.

I've got 9.5's on rear, and 8.5's on front.. the insurance company didn't ask what kind size they were so i'm still insured.
I love those koya rims, they look a bit like mine. The silver and chrome dish work well.

You may find that after an accident you aren't insured, as it's not the insurance company's onus to discover, the onus is on you to disclose. Most insurance companies are OK with wheels as long as they are rego legal, and unless the car came with different size front and rear, and/or different offset, then technically they're not legal. You'd be unlucky to have insurance refused on that point though, and a cheap engineers certificate will see the wheels totally legal.

More info on disclosure:
http://www.allclassinsurance.com.au/...disclosure.htm

Having said all that, Zhodak also has 8's and 9's and had a recent claim, and the wheels weren't even looked at (and the car was fixed under insurance). So all I'm saying is it may be better to be safe than sorry, but if you take the risk, it may not matter.

Are the velvet's expensive? They look nice and are something different but I always thought they came in 18" at the biggest?

18's are the biggest for the velvets tyre and wheel package is only 2150 so is an affordable package in a sense 19's are unavailable in au offset as thats originally that i was chasing , i am still yet to see em out of the brochure yet

Chris those Koya's looka gorgeous on your car, all you'd need to do is lower it and get rid of those mudflaps. I am a fan of simple design wheels though.

P.S That place looks familiar lol and good to see you got your AU again.

EDIT: Forgot to say, tint your windows dammit. Kool Shades in Peel st sth are cheap and do a real good job.

I get MASS scrapage with my ride height, too bloody low. But it looks real good so I'll never do anything about it. It all comes down to driving style though, just take things a lot slower and she don't scrape...much.
