As I didn't know much about this car I did a wikipedia search
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymout...cuda#1970-1974 and it mentioned: "A rare (only 14 produced) 1970 Hemicuda convertible sold for US$2.16 million at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Scottsdale Auction in 2006" |

I want a MOPAR muscle car. Dear Santa next year under my Christams tree I want a MOPAR genuine immaculate muscle car pretty please. My goal is a HK Monaro GTS 327 in Warick yellow. It hopefully should happen in the next 10 years (long term goal/dream). I will probally cop a bit for this but if I cant get a MOPAR muscle car like that one (drool) with a Big Block in triple black (as its way out of my budget). A HK GTS Monaro is my muscle car of choice. I use to be a Holden man b4 crossing over & im very happen with my modern Ford. But when it comes to muscle cars HK Monaro 4me. it:

it's good 2 see , muscle cars are good investments, just wonder what the guy paid for the car in it's original form befor he restored it.
There was a dodge charger in the paint shop were my xw was in and we lined both 2gether and it was about a 2 foot longer. and he wanted it black. |

One of our clients has a HK GTS 327 and when he told me what its worth I said "NO WAY"
So I did a search on Google and this one was sold for $55,000 as is, matching numbers, then I realised yeah okay its worth that much.........lol This cars history:- An unfinished restoration project, this Holden is a genuine 1969 HK GTS 327 Bathurst Monaro and is 90% complete, with all numbers matching. The identification plates indicate this was the 227th example built in Adelaide and was originally Bright Blue Metallic with Jacana Blue interior. For the past six years the vehicle has belonged to the Monaro Club of Victoria but was last registered back in 1982 and has been laid-up ever since. The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt back to factory original specifications and work has started on the body shell with both quarter panels receiving considerable repairs. The Monaro comes with a large quantity of spares and an extensive inventory of parts is available to inspect. Whilst almost everything that is necessary to restore the Monaro to concours condition is included in the sale, most of the parts require reconditioning. To be sold unregistered and with no reserve, this project is a great opportunity for the enthusiast sourcing a collectable Australian icon

just think, theres probably someone out there that will try and flog another one off as an original... or even a falcon or the like... just like that, then someone just trying to enjoy a nice car and restore it himself, or herself, will lose out bigtime... im sure its happened before , and it will happen again... theyre just trying to put a stop to it now with vin numbers stamped into bodies etc, but it can still be gotten around...
what wouls omeone pay for an original ho in that condition... its all there, just in pieces... as long as theres proof that its all god, then theres no reason they wouldnt fetch that... if i had the money id buy it, but i dont so i wont... lol i dont even have the money to finish my xe atm... and thats not even going to get into the carpark at a concourse lol some people would pay that for an original rpo coupe im sure... as long as it was the right car and te right buyer is there waiting... |
