I seen some signs last week saying to find an alt route due to bridge closure. So dose that mean it's totally close off? Seems strange to me if it is, I know it's falling apart and all.

They repair it every year at this time.
I think half the lanes are closed.

Was wondering about this myself... we're heading across for New Years. Think i might consider the ferry across as im guessing the roads will be packed

Was over there this morning in the truck. Was a 50 minute trip from the start of the tunnel to the other side of the bridge. Joke that they do it this time of year. Digging up and resurfacing the 2 righthand lanes geelong bound. My missus said she made it over in about 20 mins after work so i guess its just luck how busy it is when you hit it.
Definately keep to the 2 left lanes when you start getting close to the service center. |
