Default Bearing Numbers

I'm looking for the numbers stamped on the wheel bearings(not the Ford part number) for the rear IRS. I don't want the ford part number as ford are asking $175 each for these.

Cheers Mark

I cant' help with the numbers, sorry.

Shame it's Sunday as any bearing service should be able to assist you.

Have you done the rear's before? I ask because I just had a look in my "Gregory's" and it states that you need "special tools" to remove the bearings from the hub.

I'm guessing that means a press or bearing puller or some such...?

In any event, when completed can you let us know what "special tools" are required?

There are special tools required to this check out the work shop manuals on the forum.
I havn't done this job as yet but i guess i : myself as i do it.
I am sure a bearing place will be a lot cheaper than Ford thats why i'm looking for those numbers.

yeah, ok it looks like it could be a fairly simple unit to fabricate for use in a press.

I haven't bought wheel bearings for years but you'd expect a bearing service to be less than half of Ford's price...

Good luck with it!
