Default lpg problem

sorry i know there is a section for lpg, but most of the AU lpg guys are in here!

driving along today on gas when the car just cut out, when i stopped i noticed i had no lights on the lpg switch, normally red/petrol,green/gas.car started but was on petrol. got home and found a blown fuse under the dash, wires from the holder lead to engine bay. turn car on lpg switch lights back, started car run for a minute on gas, blew fuse again. i noticed i had put in a 7.5amp instead of 10 put in the 10 car started on gas. then i smelt burning wire!!!! car stopped.

now car runs on petrol, lpg switch lights are on but when i flick it too gas wont run. so whatever was causing the fuse to blow has gone bang.

my question is what could it be? iv had a look in the engine bay and cant see any burnt wires to the converter or anywhere else. the system is a vaille and car is 5L AU2.

Back to the gas place for a proper diagnosis I would say. Sounds like one of the wires from cabin to engine bay has been worn (maybe no grommet) and because a +ve wire touches metal, it earths and blows first the fuse, then whatever it actually runs if you put a higher rated fuse in.
