Default Chroming!

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me how much it costs to get little bits and pieces chrome plated?
eg. Shock tower mounts, bonnet hinges, catch plate and other little engine bay bits.

I am Just after a rough estimate of what i expect to pay, one place charged $50 minimum for anything.

Just wondering if this is a rip off or the average cost? Is it worth it?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Tom

Shock tower mounts cost me $30 (the pair)
Air cleaner cover was $100

Bonnet hinges i got a price on for the XB (before i decided to stick with copper bronze) and was quoted $150 the pair

Hope this helps.

For a minute there, I thought this was a thread about teenagers and empty PET bottles....

Back on track now... what are the costs involved with getting things Gold plated? Like Badges etc etc.... Like Honda offer as a factory option...

Me two. I was thinking, here's an oppurtunity to get involved in a heated arguement.

I think they dip them in acid to get the little bumps off, but i rekon it would be better to do clean them up yourself first to make sure its perfect.
