Hi
the same thing happen to me this week after i took mine for a wheel alinement .Took car back the adjustment on the lhs rear came loose or they forgot to tighten it.lhs rear tyre was crooked and scrapping on the road. They fix it all up now and everything is sweet.Every time i went over a bump on the road the car would go everywhere..Is the steering wheel centered.Check all the tyres are strigh and not pointing in or out. |

Has the problem just happened recently? Or has it been going on for sometime?...
One thing it may be is if you have put new tyres on it, the sidewalls could be too stiff. And when you hit a bump, instead of the energy being absorbed through the tyre, it hits the steering arms and steers you sideways...

If the steering wheel is out a little, did the shop who alligned the wheels check the camber?
My fairmont has the same problem, the camber on the front left is out in a negative way, so it means the steering wheel is pointing to the right a little to keep the car straight... Fixing it is on my to-do list... As for the bump-steering, there goes my tyre theory. Worn shockers maybe... If one shocker absorbs better than the other, it could cause your car to change direction.
