As my family owns a pair of Whippets (like a greyhound but smaller), I can tell you, they are awesome dogs. Greyhounds have the same personality as whippets (as I know people with greyhounds), and are very quiet and gentle dogs. They are very clean dogs as well. They don't lose much fur. They aren't easy to train though (for example, when you call them, they tend to ignore you), and you should probably get a coat for it as they tend to freeze in cold weather! For greyhound racing, they are required to wear a muzzle, but they aren't vicous at all. Of course, I'm not too sure what's required for the racing side of it, I'm looking at it in terms of looking after it. I reckon, go for it.

IF you don't know what the rules of the game are run away....do not get involved...the old story, seems too good to be true...then it is.

I've known a few people who had dogs. It was fun to go watch and be involved, but they never really made any money out of it. But you might get lucky!
