Default Finally got my XR8!!

Well I finally picked her up on Wednesday, I would have posted pics up earlier but with work and having too much fun with the car I haven't had much time. I know, I know it needs a wash already.

Looks good. The BA rims suit it well.

xr8ute - A GT40 upper manifold, thanks for solving that one. No one was able to tell me what it was.

Private9 - It's an auto, I was after a manual but this was just too good to pass up.

It's also got premo sound, herrod headers and cats, larger T-series (apparently) throttle body, larger MAF, herrod intake pipe and a 2.5" cat back system. It's a bloody nice car.

I'm not too happy with the 2.5" cat back system, so what exhaust would you guys recommend?

Yep 70mm TB you can see there with the wings on it. Id tell you to put the engine cover back on (i reckon it looks a LOT cleaner with it personally) but not sure if it would fit with that manifold. Do you have it? If it doesnt fit I might be interested in it if you wanna let it go.....

The BA rims look great on AU's, they really suit them so well, and on a lowered one like yours it really sets them off.
But get on the phone to FTG and get yourself some pods for the front bar, they'll cost you $120 or so, but trust me, you'll be glad you put 'em on.

I absolutely love the series 3 220kw xr8s, especially the ones fitted with the rebel body kits, they look fantastic. Hopefully in a few years time i will find a nice manual one in red, ive seen some for as low as 17g. Congrats on the purchase and post up a sound clip so we can hear the beast

It came from a car yard in Ivanhoe, so it's a possibility that it was in greensy.
