Angry what is it with internet providers

well here is my spill on this

i sighned up on what looked like a good deal from dodo in this i was told that i would get a confirmation call in the next few days to confirm the booking and i would be conected within 7 days total that was the 20th of july

I waited 7 days and still no call so i called them and the person i spoke to said there was no account or knowlage of my name on the system

i then waited another day called them back still no knowlage of my req

i then cancell the req and get a phone call from them on thursday saying that it has been cancelled

today my wife was looking at the bank and guess what dodo has taken out $79 and the plan i sighned up for was $44.95 so what the hell is going on

also now i have 3 internet providers as i havnt cancelled the last provider and i sighned up for aapt with all the crap that happened with dodo

im getting really peed of with it all

sorry for the long post but im not a happy camper

so if any of you guys and gals work at dodo can you help me get my money back

:

jason

stick with one reputable isp regardless of cost is my advice find a good one and stick with it regardless of cost. been with optus for about 5 years and never had drama.
as for dodo send them a copy of your bill and stick it to the bastards!

That's just crap, Jason. My ISP is TPG and we're paying via direct debit. We weren't happy when we were told the money was going to be taken out of the account on the 27th, but they took it out on the 23rd. Of course, the money wasn't in the account yet so the direct debit failed, meaning TPG slugged us with a $20 fine and the bank charged us $50. We were ****ed off, until a couple of weeks ago, when we were told that they were ending our current plan, giving us a free upgrade to ADSL2. For $60, it has a 30Gb download limit, after which it is capped to dialup speeds. I'm very happy with that now, particularily since it's going from 512kb/s to about 24Mb/s! Can't wait.

I really did my homework before signing up, the one ISP that was consistantly getting the good raps in Forums on the net and therefore for me became the standout choice was Internode, signed up with them on their 512mb/20Gb plan for $49.95, been on it a couple of weeks now, no downtime, reasonable download speed for 512k, cant complain, although thinking now of upgrading to their 1500k plan for an extra $10/month although the download limit is cut to 10Gb/month on that plan, even so should be more than enough for me, dont think I need the 20Gb download but would like the extra speed of the 1500k.

ive been waiting 7-8 months to get something that everyone else has, ISP even disconnected me from waiting list, gave us a wireless modem (POS), still screwing us around, still paying ADSL2+ price, still no word when we getting connected, told we'd be put on 512k full duplex (512/512) wheres that.. knowing them neighbours might have got it instead, but i still love them otherwise id be with the ISP that actually puts people on ADSL2+...LOL
