Default new bodykit

i had a ts50 bodykit painted and added to my car today.. but the panal beater said that the spoiler wont fit, i rang adam at awc, he told me what to do, i told the panel guy what to do but he rekons that if he does flex it it will snap.. or it wold be like flexing concrete.., so u told me he will do it if i get some fubber spacers to fit inbetween the gaps that the rear wing leaves.

he also said when he lifted the boot up that the sides had 2 holes that need to be drilled to install a wing, and he measured it all up and said that he would have to drill holes 5 cm inwards, unfortunetly this is where the boot inside buldges out.

omg what to do, who has fitted a ts50 wing to a farimont ghia.. help!

plus i got it painted and installed for 1000. he also washed my car.
i need to buy a bigger ford badge *** the body kit didnt come with 1.

pics soon next week.

The TS50 wing bolts up to the original holes. I fitted one to my AU1 XR6 and the bolt holes are the same for every AU falcon & fairmont. I reckon he's trying to fit the wing backwards!

Your other option is to leave the wing off - the car will look great without it anyway.

Hey

I just brought the same kit from adam, Mine goes in on monday to get fitted. I will go have a quick look and see if it is the same with my rear wing ....... Ok back, I think what JC said about him trying to put it on backwards might be somewhat true, The wing sit fine on my car and will just bolt straight up. Mybe there is a small difference with the fairmont and falcon.

Cheers
Andrew

When my wing was fitted, I think the spray painters drilled the hole a little bigger.

It fits

but the guy also reckon it wont fit flush, and he showed me, and it doesnt, so how do u fix that problem.. he wanted me to go to clark rubber and get some rubber spacers so u cant see a gap between the wing and the boot.

You'd have to be a few french fries short of a McHappy meal to try and fit the wing backwards...

This is why I bought a genuine one, no issues with fitting.

A quick few photos and a another phone call to adam would sort this out....perhaps thats your best option.
