Pedro, i stumbled upon the video at the linked site, all i did was copy the address and paste it here.
If you want to post a video you have on you're hard drive, you will need to upload it too your web space (pain in the backside).

Noooooooooooo not soccer. Just the Italians. Well their league is quite corrupt at the moment and you would think that it would be the same for the national team.

I know some of you are upset about the game the other night

But your starting to go a bit overboard with the Italian bashing.

You told us to take 2002 and 2004 like men

The german leauge had a corruption scandal last year
And I think Tottenham Hotspur had one in the early 90's in England, so it can happen anywhere.

Remember the Aussie cricketers?
Carlton in the AFL and their dodgy dealings?

I think all sports have had their corrupt times.
Rugby has had all this salary cap stuff going on lately. Cricket is boring. I don't pay much attention to it. Swimming doesn't seem to be corrupt. Although Thorpey has his own brand of water.....

Its fully sad. But where theres money to be made people will do anything. Hell if I was an umpire and someone offered me a large sum of money to be bias toward some team I would be tempted.

when will people see things with two eyes open instead of one eye closed...

it was a 50/50 decision with quite obvious obstruction. If that had occurred in the first 5 minutes nobody would have complained. If it had been a clean tackle at the ball, the result would have been the ball going out for a corner. The red card was in doubt. 4 years ago when hiddink's south korea kicked out italy was due to a controversial decision.

In soccer, as in all sports. **** happens. Unfortunately both teams played well and neither deserved to loose in the first two halves of that game. Extra time would have been great. But there is no point in sooking and going on about what happened. I don't see anyone mentioning Timmy Cahill's academy award winning performances. I bet if it was the other way round and Australia was awarded a penalty, we in australia would hear no complaints.

Even Viduka said it himself, he said it was a "soft" foul. but a foul none the less.

I love those who think that because we live in australia we have to completely support australia.. just because you live in carlton, should you have to support carlton in the afl?

Italian's in australia have been watching and supporting the world cup every 4 years... the one year that australia finally makes it (and it makes me proud also), everyone jumps on the bandwagon and instantly soccer is recognised..

But on a final note. I could not have cared less of the result of the game, either way i was a winner. I just wanted to see a good game, and a good game i saw. It was unfortunate to have ended the way it did. A majestic goal by either team would have set it off nicely.

Now aussie supporters, do what italians do every four years after a referee throws your chances out the door. Get over it and look forward to the next big event...

Santo, I couldn't have put it better myself.... well said.

And I must say, that I have been copping so much s**t about the end result of the game. My responses have been short and to the point. If that soft or professional foul had occurred at the other end of the field, nobody would have complained. And yes it still was a foul as it occurred in the box. Also, both teams played exceptionally well I think. One team played excellent attacking soccer and one team played excellent defense. If the team that was attacking and held possession for 60% of the game could not score a single goal, then they shouldn't have won. In my opinion anyway. Any team holding 60% possesion should have been up by 2 - 0 at full time......
