Default Does anyone know

ive got a series 1 xr8,

stacker in boot died.

i have bought a series 2 ( i think ) in dash 6 stacker cd unit.

if i pull out the current dash unit, will i be able to slot the series 2 stacker in and will all the wires/plugs be there for the conversion?

also, what about the wire in the boot? is that redundent now?

nope, series 1 and series 2 CD players are not a straight swap

just pull off 1 wire at a time and see which speaker stops working and that will soon tell you which 1's which.

Alternativeley, im sure someone knows the pin connections.

isnt the dash in the series 1 not as curved as series 2 ? as the AU1 was pretty much EL spec but with climate control in the middle.
