Default Guess who's joined the XR8 brigade?

Normally I'm happy to see celebs promoting the Blue Oval, but this time I'm not too sure...

he'd better hope he has no engine damage related issues or the 'big exhaust' will probably be blamed - bye bye warranty!

I thought he was a holden man, as he was at the eastern creek grand finale in 2003 and was asked who do you want to win. "Anyone, as long as its a holden".

The record companys involved with Australian Idol would be thouroughly bending over any of the performers and keeping 95% of the profits for themselves. There's no free lunches for these suckers.

If thats is/was true then I have less respect for him - its nothing at all to do with Holden, but if he was changing his own beliefs, either then for peer pressure, or now for the publicity for ford of buying a black xr8 ute, then shame on him.

Why didn't he go the Pursuit or super Pursuit in Black. He's got bucket loads of money, an extra $10,000 to $20,000 would hardly dent record sales.

I remember that song came out shortly after I bought my XB GT. I saw it on rage and was so horrified I smashed my tv with a beer bottle.

Now I have to hang my head whilst driving the XR8...

I dont mind the guy. At least he is a real Aussie, looks like a real bloke and some of his music isnt too bad, although its not really my style. I dont think being on Idol is anything easy, let alone become runner up. I dont like what the show stands for, but I dont think just because it is a crap show that its easy for the participants. These guys have to work pretty hard for a record deal..., bugger standing up in front of judges like them, singing without backing music, and then singing week after week in front of people, waiting to get voted in or out... stuff that.

They dont make that much money with the record companies either and they have to work long hard hours to make a CD or two...

And you have to be able to sing reasonably well (what is a good voice is open to interpretation, Im sure) enough to sell music, and that is something he does quite well, it appears - so someone likes it.

I'd take him over Guy Sebastian any day... I prefer his voice, his appearance, his manner and his music.

Good on him for buying his XR8!

I just dont follow the whole Aussie Tall Poppy Syndrome thing.
