hey peoples. stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago after my recent purchase of a series 2 au xr8 220. got 70 thou kays and in mint condition. you guys would hate me if you knew how much i paid for the car haha. i will try and get some pics soon. i have bought this to update the gf's car. so she drives it most of the time while i still play with my nc fairlane. found the site to be very interesting and freindly.

There are some good buys out there.
I recently picked up a 2002 Series 111 Manual, full leather, 50,000ks, not a mark on it for 20 grand. Just did a full exhaust on it, best thing I have bought in years. |

yeah it goes well. i say bugger the fuel prices - its not gonna ruin my obsession.
i dont mind to much about being left with the fairlane cause it actually goes harder than the xr8 and i still have a soft spot for the old girl |

Can understand that galaxy, the good is at least you are driving one of the best Fords ever made. I did the rounds of a few dealers with the original intention of buying a BA XR6 and spotted the AU that had just been traded on a GT and snapped it up.
The AU XR8 is a fine machine. |
