I suspect V8s are 'going for a song' because of the high fuel prices.

There are some good buys out there.

I recently picked up a 2002 Series 111 Manual, full leather, 50,000ks, not a mark on it for 20 grand.

Just did a full exhaust on it, best thing I have bought in years.

yeah it goes well. i say bugger the fuel prices - its not gonna ruin my obsession.
i dont mind to much about being left with the fairlane cause it actually goes harder than the xr8 and i still have a soft spot for the old girl

Can understand that galaxy, the good is at least you are driving one of the best Fords ever made. I did the rounds of a few dealers with the original intention of buying a BA XR6 and spotted the AU that had just been traded on a GT and snapped it up.

The AU XR8 is a fine machine.
