model: 2000 laser 1.6, odo at 80,000
the valves are a bit noisy at cold startup and just wondring if engine flush would help. ive read in some forums that one of the benefits of engine flush is quiter engine at cold start (or does it only work for those with hydraulic tappets). i think model is shim-bucket type. has anyone done engine flush and is it worth the risk..?? |

I dont know about the rest but i dont like the idea of doing an engine flush on a car with that low km
if the valves are adjustable or shimmed then have then adjusted if the valves are hydraulic replace the lifters thats the way to fix that valve noise properly and then look at the oil you are using you might want to choose a good quality oil that is suited for your weather conditions /daily temperatures I think you have to change the timing belt at 100,000 km anyway
