Default ED trouble starting

Hi all...

My ED Fairmont starts with no problem in the morning.
However after i go for a drive and i switch the car off and re start it again ( usually after a run in and out of the shops ) it will have trouble starting. It cranks over with no trouble but has trouble to fire. - ( like its starving for fuel ).

It only happens after a drive - usually a long highway run.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

Have you checked the Fuel Pump Relay and the EEC relay?

Can u give an estimate on how long u gotta crank it for? And when it tries to start, is there any indication at all that its semi firing (almost but not)?

Its on the brink of starting. It sounds like its starving for fuel.
So yeah you could say its semi firing.

Where is the fuel relay located?

hi all,
i'm actually having problems starting my ED fairmont as well. It will crank but won't fire. THe car has smartlock system, and when im starting it, it appears to interrupt for a split second before beginning to flicker and then i just can't get it started. I'm thinking that the control module is a little funny but im not too sure. Need advice!!!

Could you be falling into the same ballpark as me, IH8HSV?
