Default need some advice on car show

Just looking for some pointers on how to go about getting a car/bike show together to help raise some money for our local community centre so they can help out local farmers and organise activities for the kids around the area. We are located in the loddon shire we are looking at Mitiamo or Dingee as places to hold the event. Any input will be welcomed.

I think once you work out exactly where you want to hold it, you would then need to look into insurances..... That is going to be your main hassle.
Then it would come down to advertising, and if you have an idea of clubs in and around the area (some will travel a bit of a distance), you could invite them so that way when you get a yes they will attend, you can put that onto your advertising.
Since its for charity, play that trump card to radio stations and print media, plus a printing place (you will need flyers).

But for a successful day you will need to have expert help, so contact some of the clubs and find out how they do it... I would also suggest contacting a few car/bike mags that might be interested in sponsoring and helping etc.

Good luck with it all

Cheers
Kerri

A good step would be to drop Austin ( b2tf ) a line, Austin is a true master and done the wagga all ford day proud, and i am sure if you asked he may be able to help out.

Just a question, but where would you hold a show at Mitiamo or Dingee? Mitiamo footy ground perhaps? I think having sufficient facilities would be an issue here? If you want to keep it in Loddon Shire perhaps Boort would be better - somewhere near the lake.

EDIT - Just read your post again, see that your wanting to raise funds for your local community centre so maybe Boort will not suit. At what time of year would you be looking to run it - would suggest that it would be best either late autumn/early spring to avoid the heat. The oval should be in good condition at that time of year too.

As with most things, insurance is always a big issue
