Angry Headlight globe clip

I am attempting to change a low beam globe (AU2) - I managed to release the wire spring clip but cannot do it up to secure the globe - can anyone assist with the 'how' please?

pull up on the clip and move it to your left and then back towards you then release to the right- I always drive with my headlights on and change headlight globes every 6-8 weeks- that's all they last at 800km a week.

best way I can describe it- be careful not to lose the little locating pivot on the bottom of the clip- I did and have to put the clip on manually now and it takes about 45 minutes!!

I'll take a punt..... Make sure the bulb (H4) is located correctly as they only fit "1" way (wide prong to top). Also be sure the spring clip is firmly seated in the "groove" at the pivot end (held in place by a press-fit clip) otherwise the retainer will not fit properly. Sometimes it is actually easier to remove the headlight ***'y to perform this task because if you lose the retainer (within the headlight) you will have to remove it anyway. :
