Default Noise From Air Con Fan

Hey guys,
The other day nice and hot, Climate control on, it switch to suck from inside automatically as it did i heard something suck into the fan. Now couldnt see anything on the floor that was sucked up but could have been a small bit of plastic or something. It sucked up made a nasty noise like when you stick paper in a fan. Now it has changed to a deeper noise like its really stuck in there or the fan is out of whack. Is there any easy way to get to the fan on an AU Fairmont without removeing the Entire dash????

Thanks Guys.

I have had a similar problem where leaves get sucked in from the external air intake
Pull down the glove box lid until it stops then on the right side (i think) there is a small plastic stopper
Gently (but firmly)pull in the edge of the glove compartment tray until it clears the stopper
It will then will fall down so you can access the fan duct hole
Stick your hand in or get someone with a small hand so you can spin the fan around(making sure you have the ignition switched off!)
Each time I have done this the leaves have dropped down so I was able to grab them and pull them out
I hope this helps you fix your problem

yeah pulled the glove box out and had a look around but couldnt get up in there or find anywhere to stick my hand, could be those extra Big Macs ive been eating lately. I will get someone with a smaller hand to have a crack for me. Thanks for the info.

FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!!!

When i pulled it out before i didnt realise that the White flap actually opened up. :

Turned the car on and to re-circulate and it opened up, turned off, got the Fuel Receipt out (sucked up from inside) and all fixed. Slight problem when i turned it back on, there was a small grinding noise from up near the centre vents. Quickly flicked it off, but then it would only blow on the demister. Just put the flap up and down a couple more times and its working perfect, no noise, no problems. Thanks for the help. Very much appreciated.

Damn Gregories Manual said i had to pull the dash out : .

Thanks again.

Is the fan setup different in an AUII Futura? No problems pulling the glove box lid out of the way as Auotcade suggested (one tab on each side of the lid), but everything is boxed in and no fan in sight. Have had a leaf stuck in there for a month which is driving me up the wall.

Take the glove box out, Turn the car on and the air con. Turn it to recirculate, you should see the flap open up.

Switch it all off, manualy open and remove leaf.
