Yeah that was a pretty good cruise, but I wasn't able to make it :o( and it was a T-Series cruise, not an AU cruise.

We need to have an AU cruise in Vic..

Knock... Knock... Hello Shane anyone home

We could always meet up at Albert Park Lake for a BBQ. Have seen the EH Club have a big barby their, unless we meet early to grab a nice spot as their are a few BBQ's around.
I might enquire with the council as I remember the club had their cars parked where no other cars are allowed (inside the park in front of barby) :evilsasmo

We haven't had an AU cruise in Vic for a very long time so if someone has the time to arrange one you can count me in(unless the date clashes with something else).

Sounds like a good idea to me. Bendigo would be a good cruise Sometime in late Jan would be good only cause it's getting a bit close to christmas.

Sounds like a bloody great idea. Something for early in the new year perhaps?
I've just been so busy with work and family commitments lately that time has slipped by too quick.. I want my year back cause I seemed to have suddenly been plonked in late november and I dont remember having an april, may, sept, or october!!! :

Not sure yet but the BBQ at AP lake sounds like a damn good idea.

I'm guessing late Jan, early Feb is the go but I'd like to hear more about this BBQ area as it will be about as central as we can get. I'm thinking more of a BBQ/get together than an actual cruise too. Just a chance for all the members in Vic to catch up and have a chat.

Also, dont for get the AFF Heathcote meet in Jan. A drag day is fantastic fun and theres nothig stopping a heap of AU's from invading the track and laying some rubber down.

How about coming to Coffs Harbour for a cruise or even taking part in the annual Show N Shine held here around June/July. Maybe the AUs could get together at the foreshores of the harbour for there own Show n Shine. I know its a long way off but it allows plenty of time for planning holidays etc.

you mean there isnt a power beast under that bulge??? _

Just come and have fun.. times are irrelevant. Not like mine is a track munching monster either. Hell, first time I ran I got a 16.8 ET.. and still enjoyed it.

I'm doubting that will be possible for me. June/July is the busiest time of the year for work and there is no way I'll even get a single day off to get all the way to coffs.

There's a really big kids playground at the lake aswell, with BBQ facilites all around.

Well thats the problem, "laying some rubber down" I don't have much rubber left to laydown and not too much spare cash left after buying the wagon.

Burnouts are optional. You know you want to race again Goran.. its burning in you to go and play again!

I could go and get rid of what ever little rubber there is left on the tyres, but in the current state of my tyres there is F All grip left in them and it won't be much fun sitting on the line with no grip trying to shoot down the 1/4 and I won't be putting on new tyres just to fry them down the 1/4. Also I have not made any mods to the car since the last time I went, so I already have a baseline 1/4 time to compare to after mods, but since I will not be doing any mods to the car I don't think I will run down the 1/4 again.
Yes burnouts are optional, but I just can't help myself, I know I will chew them up big time if I go. I might come down as a spectator.

SWEET _2:
Leave it with me Casper, I will organise for early Feb. so it should give us plenty of time to get numbers up, as soon as I can organise some dates I'll start a new thread for a VIC AU CRUISE and we can discuss numbers then.

Albert Park Lake bbq set up is pretty good as they have about half a dozen or so scattered around with the main one (the site we will get) has a big gazebo over it giving us plenty of shelter and only 2 mtrs from where our cars will be parked.
Public amenities are a 1 minute walk away and in a worst case scenario, my sister lives across the road from the lake, so all bases covered I think.

CHEERS
