I'm going to try my best to explain what I wanna do In Excel to sort something out...
I have a list of numbers, some are repeated more than twice. I want a formula that counts the numbers and the number that comes up the most I want to display in a different cell, and not how many times it comes up. I couldn't find anything in Excel that could help. If someone does, let me know, I'm blind.

well first you have to unique the list, then use that to count the numbers, then use a formula base on the outcome to show only those numbers, more then likely a macro i think is what you need, if it is to be repeated many times.
my username AThotmail.com on MSN if you want some help.

Perhaps the =Count fucntion?
This sounds like a statistical problem. in any cell press = then, up the top, next to the tick, cross, and fx; there should be a pull down box, click on "more functions." Edit - forget about me... |

New one for y'all...
I want to get values between two numbers, and display how many times a number between the two numbers comes up.

This is my example...
I have a list of shed widths. I want to see how many widths come up between two numbers (9 and 10). So 9.01, 9.02 comes in between those two numbers.

=IF(A2>=9,IF(A2<=10,"X",""),"")
then run a count =COUNTIF(B2:B8,"X")

press f5 or f4(cant remember which one) then under reference type in caps X97:L97, then press enter or click ok...ect then when ur back in the spreadsheet after that press tab once i think it will come up m97, then push ctrl, alt, shift and click on the wizard bar graph icon at the top right at the same time, then a hidden version of flight simulator will open up, left click is forward, right click is backward and steering is with the mouse....enjoy
