I have an EA that is plated 10/87, I thought they were not made until 1988?

yes, you'll find there are a few late 87 EA's.
ive also seen up to 3/88 XF Ghia's, so ford must have run the XF ghia a little longer.... |

I knew a guy who had an 87 EA GL. It was the dodgy carby engined one. Absoloute POS!

might look like a carby but its not...
its CFi, centerpoint fuel injection. it is a throttle body with 2 large injectors, |

Yep it was the 3.2L carby engine. Believe me, it looked like a carby engine and it went like a carby engine. Couldnt believe Ford released them with it.

i can tell you that tehre was NEVER a carbied engine EA.
they were all CFi. might have been the 3.2, but it was still CFi EDIT what i meant above was the're was the CFi models and multipoint (MPI) models.... whoops:P Last edited by LUXO_8; 09-10-2005 at 06:53 PM. |

A guy at my work has a factory MPFI manual spak EA dated in 87. I have heard of 87 EA's before but I assume a factory MPFI manual would be quite a bit harder to find??

naw, he said twice it was a carby engine, i was just pointing out that it wasnt carby.
yes the 3.3 (200ci) was in the XF and other X-falcon models |

Has anyone got a pic of the 3.2 litre EA engine that so many have spoken of but no one seems to own or have pics of?? Are they a rarity now?

it will have 3.2l cast on the head aswell. a guy at my old work has a 3.2 CFI manual EA. was a full on povo pack. ive seen a few of those heads before at work too.
