Default Top 25 movie's of the century by AFF members

The yanks have one http://www.afi.com/tvevents/100years/movies.aspx

The poms have it also http://www.bfi.org.uk/features/bfi100/

The Aussie's & Kiwi's are trying http://worldfilm.about.com/cs/austra...ustralianz.htm

So what about one for Australian Ford Forums? :

The movie list is a quick random pick, there was no formula or long winded debates, just a huge list that was quickly whittled down to 25, so don't complain. :

If you see a movie in the list that you thought was great, tick it. Share your thoughts on the movie/movies if you want.
Maybe hire some from the video shop to watch before voting :

Don't see a movie or have another suggestion, tell us about it, maybe later there will be another poll, when this one is all done.

EDIT: you can vote for more than one movie.

Hey All,
Life of Brian! It has to be one of the greatest films ever!

In the Final scene, The Roman Officers have been sent to the "Crucifiction Field with the orders to "Welease Bwian".
"We got an order to release "Brian Anasrus"!
"I'm Brian Anasrus"
"No, I'm Brian"!
"I'm Brian Anasrus, and so is my wife"!
"Okay, You'll do"
"Nah, Im only kidding. I'm not really Brian. (removing him from the cross) I'm not Brian,Bloody Romans, can't take a joke! Put me back up"! (let him go, kicking him up the ****)

Lights Dim, Curtains Close The Chorus of "Always Look on the Bright Side os Death"!
Funny as!!! :

A couple of suggestions for another poll:
The dish (an aussie classic)
The last samurai (awesome - Tom Cruise at his best)
The negotiator (tension all the way. Kevin Spacey and Samuel L Jackson - what a combo)
Bullit (apart from the car action, a classic cop film where the leading men were MEN and not sanitised politically correct fags)

In this poll I voted for:
Pulp Fiction
Forrest Gump
The Italian Job
Life Of Brian.

Can never get sick of watching these.

Yeah, I though I'd do something like that. Probably the top 10 or 15 and add the 10 or 15 most recommended from everyones post.

So keep them coming people.

I'd have to say one of my favourites is "The Big Lebowski" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118715/ - Not that many people know it, but those that have seen it either love or hate it. Some of the lines in it crack me up every single time.
"She's not my special lady, she's my f*cking lady friend. I'm just helping her conceive."
"My... my wi-, my wife, Bunny? Do you see a wedding ring on my finger? Does this place look like I'm f*cking married? The toilet seat's up, man!"

Another favourite is "Training Day" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139654/ - I've never been able to see Denzel Washington the same way since seeing that movie, top movie that one.
"It's not what you know, it's what you can prove"
"To be truly effective, a good narcotics agent must know and love narcotics. In fact, a good narcotics agent should have narcotics in his blood."

But of course, "The Castle" and the original "Star Wars" (episode 4) belong, so I voted for them, amongst others.

Anyone who didnt choose The Castle, should be deported as a Traitor.

On a more serious note, this kind of list is very very hard to assemble as there will always be a classic movie missing. One movie that I think should be there is "Shawshank Redemption"

I'm one on the Love side of the fence... it's a crack up, specially the sound he makes when he drops his joint while driving and crashes. Bloody hilarious.

I didn't read that I could vote for more than one... bugger! I stuffed up my vote, I wish I could take the vote again.

Of course, out of the entire list I voted for The Italian Job cos those mini's absolutely rule

Where's Two Hands, Highlander, Fight Club, SUPERTROOPERS ("who wants a moustache ride?")? Goddamn, nobody has any taste...

None of the movies on that list. How could you not include The Godfather triology? Unbelieveable.

The Matrix, A Beautiful Mind, Titanic, The Back To The Future trilogy, Mad Max, Taking Lives, Gothika, Oceans 11, The Green Mile (just a couple off the top of my head).
Lots of great/popular films missing from that list.

Love The Big Lebowski and Training Day.

Donny shut the f*ck up! You're entering a world of pain my friend!
