Hi guys I talked to hopper stoppers about rear disc brakes and their option was their weld on disc brakes. They also mentioned however getting an EA-EL falcon diff shortened. I tried researching this on the net and couldn't find anything, all I found was a little bit about Hilux diff conversions.
Questions. How much would I be looking at spending to have a diff shortened, fitted and engineered? Hilux or falcon better? Suggestions? |

why dont you just use a narrow atlas diff strong as buggery and they came out in capris downside being conversion kits for discs are expensive but they do have the 9 inch drums

Try the Borg Warner 8/3/4 (Falcon, R31 skyline etc all the same) $1800 all ready to go.
Even better is to use a Kaaz multi plate clutch LSD $1150, it will be unbreakable and extremely useful for the handling of your car. Mine loves copping 242kW atw on the street and racetrack. The Atlas is also an exceptionally good option and would suit your needs, but might be difficult to get a hold of. The Hilux is also another option with a lot of ratios to choose from. Summary - a good quality and reliable set up is not $1... |

ah unless your ford specific use an early hilux or ford/mazda b1800 diff, they have plenty of ratios to choose from, very big axels,LSD available and can be had for very little ,the beauty of these is they are very close to the escort width +5mm overall you just need to machine the hub to suit your wheels and redrill the PCD.
