Hi Everyone
I'm having issues with my focus xr5 whenever I put my foot on the brake pedal the brake lights don't work but my dash lights come on and my brake lights are my parker lights. When I have my parker/headlights on the rear lights are all on or not at all. I have changed the rear globes, but I'm still having the same problem. Would anyone have an idea what is the problem? TIA Mandi |

Have you checked the earth connections on the rear taillights?

I had the same issue, it was because of the brake light globe holder internal fault, part number XS4113K370CD for both sides. Mine was only doing it on the drivers side though. Brake light came on ok during day, but at night with parkers on and brake pushed, RH would turn the parker off and have nothing on the RHS, release brake and parker came back on. Replaced socket, all good.

I did actually have to replace one of the bulb holders not long ago, I'll give replacing the holders a shot then if problem still there look into earth connections.
