Default No engine block foundry build marks

Hi everyone.
I’ve got a block here with an Aussie 302 crank in it.
It has no GF or CF foundry markings on it but it does have
D2AE-CA, it is two bolt mains.
Where would it have been cast ?
Has anyone come across this before ?

Cheers in advance.
Doing this from my phone and cannot upload photos, sorry.

Hope this works.

Regards
Aaron.

I think you'll find that it will have CF but poorly cast. If you clean it up and look where the cast marks are, you may find a bump rather than a very clear CF. What is the engine number & casting date?

It’s got a 3M18 and where the CF or GF and ford insignia
casting near the oil pressure gauge should be there is a cast
number 10 there.
It appears to have a very thick layer of paint over where
the casting marks would be.
I’ll see if I can remove the paint and see what’s underneath.

Thank you for your reply.
Much appreciated.
Will keep you posted.

Well, cleaned off the paint and there are two very smooth
bumps where there should be casting marks.
Completely unrecognisable other than being two smooth bumps.
Oh well. As long as it’s not too far over bored then there will hopefully
be no worries.

Cheers.
