Unfortunately, a motor cyclist became a road fatality 50 m from my home.
The odd thing is that the rider was accelerating hard, the point of impact was at upshift point, which made me assume bad back fire possible engine failure. A reminder that if you know young people who are susceptible to risk taking please implore them that the track/drag strip is by far the best place for speed. Condolences to the young bloke and his family and friends. |

That's a story you hear too often these days.
Not looking forward to the day my oldest gets out on the road! Too many dip****s on the road these days. |

Car, rear driver side door, came out of the small last street before there is a long park, local guy (rider) who I suspect had done this before but opened it up before clearing the last street.
Not good vision for cars getting out of that street either. That posted vid is just insane behaviour. Reminder to me as well how hard a job the emergency services and police have. Last edited by zipping; 11-03-2020 at 12:14 PM. |

Same thing happened here in Perth a couple of weeks ago.
A guy came out from the USA I think it was, to catch up with family. Went for a blast on his brothers bike and killed himself just down the road from home, bike was really mangled.

Still, speed doesn't kill, according to some, apparently.

Nothing more than dumbarse luck that there was not a fatal collision.
Everyone here doing the wrong thing. Crazy high speeds and overtaking on solid line |

I don't understand why riders seem to think they are invincible when they ride their bikes around my area, makes me wonder how much longer they can survive riding like that.

I agree that the track is the place for this stuff.
We live on a road which is a favorite for motor cycles...winding country road, guys are always going for a fang..which I get...I am a race car guy and the place I go fast is on the track in a properly sorted race car, but these guys are insane, they are comonly doing 200kph on a 90 klm sign posted road and they risk it all with kangaroos etc jumping across the road at all times of the day, we had a guy go off the road about one Km from our place a couple of years ago, we knew nothing of it, but he didnt turn up at home and someone went looking for him....they found him the next day in the bush....gone obviously. These guys think they are invincible. |
