Default falcon mag bolt pattern question

hey all
help please. im trying to find out when ford falcon wheel bolt pattern changed. I am seeking some dragway mags, the 5 spoke kind that look like 5 cones. dont know why but they've become my ocd obsession and i want to buy an old ford to put them on. my dad had them on his xd ESP back in the 80's and im trying to find a car that they will fit on

It's not the bolt pattern that changed. Falcon's are all 5x114.3mm (5x4.5") PCD (bolt pattern)

The offset changed with AU, so obviously you want the older (closer to zero) offset. You probably wont find Dragway mags in the newer offset anyway.

The only other things to be aware of is the centre bore (hole) size which also may have changed - but I can't really help you with that. Plenty of aftermarket wheels come oversize anyway and if required you just fit spacer rings to make them fit 'snug'.

[EDIT] If you are talking way back to the '60's XK,XL,XM, XP series the sedans were 4 stud (4x4.5") but many of the survivors would be converted to 5 stud by now.

EX ESP normally had gold wheels I think called "snowflakes".

But I recall seeing a few that looked to have a 5 spoke wheels I thought were called "Bathurst Globe"

So are you looking for the mags.. or a car that will fit them?

Hi. Thats because Ian Splatt owned dragway wheels in kinglake. I think he has gone into semi-retirement and sells dragway stuff from his new home in QLD and his daughter runs dragway wheels in bundoora. Cheers MD

Ford actually had that same stud pattern from 1949,only change was in centre hole size in 1975, and then varying offsets over the years

I had a set fitted to my Torana back in the 80's and they were simply know as '5 Spoke' in the Dragway catalogue.

They also produced a 4 spoke variation and surprise surprise they were known as '4 Spoke'.
