Hi everyone,
I have focus and an aftermarket (Apline ) head unit with reverse camera connected. It works great however I could not find how/where to connect the head units reverse signal wire. (I have to manually select reverse camera and displays black until I select reverse as the camera is connected directly to the reverse lights power.) A printout of the quadlock connector my car has shows a pin for reverse sensor signal but as my car has no reverse sensors it was never connected. Is there somewhere I can connect the head unit to to allow this or would I have to run another line from the reverse light to somehow trigger the sensor input. Any help appreciated. Cheers. I think the signal to tell the PAM that the vehicle is in reverse actually comes from the GEM which has a pin for reverse select out put. As this will be installed it is the output from that pin that needs to be fed to the Alpine unit.

GEM is the General Electrical Module. Where it is located depends on whether you have a 3 door or 5 door.
