Default XR6 Sprint or XR8 Sprint

If Ford do make an XR6T Sprint or XR8 Sprint
or a LE 6T or 8 and you had the opportunity
to own 1, which would it be & why.

Me, I love the 8 but the in line 6T is and
has been a great motor for a long time
which will soon be no more. The Mustang
will still have an 8.

So for me, the in line 6T

One a unique Australian engine at the end of its life, the other isn't.

No choice IMHO, it would have to be the I6T.

The fact that its in the FINAL Falcon as well is just a bonus.

That would be such a hard choice, thankfully I wouldn't have the cash to put me in that situation haha but if I did it would be the v8 I love the sound

I wonder if they will be nice and give me much for the TE50 as a trade in...

I would go the I6T, the Mustang will carry the V8 flag into the future.

I would have to wait to see specs of final cars.

I would lean over to the I6T if it was F6 spec with R Spec suspension and Brembo 6/4 Brakes. Even if the 8 came out in 351 guise the 6 would be a better in my opinion.

I have a FG X XR8 and have a deposit on a XR6T Sprint if they ever do get created.

Owning the V8 after many I6's, as much as I have a soft spot for the 6, I'm loving the 8!

Might be the fastest ever Aussie car...period!

Acceleration wise, the xr6t sprint has the potential in auto with wider stickier tyres and an F6+ kit and tune to clearly beat the GTS and GTF in 0-100 and 1/4 mile times...talking factory spec, not after market. After market can and will always be faster, but fairs fair in fastest ever comparison

Well more to the point, news the RHD Camaro (and most likely Corvette) is now a lost cause, GM die hards in Australia are going to want something before HSV departs, because the future looks pretty bleak for performance unlike Ford.

Hi George,

Great to hear your thoughts.

Here at Blue Hive, Ford’s marketing and advertising agency, we’re reaching out to the Ford fans to hear what they think. It would be great if we could touch base and speak to you further.

Is it okay if I private message you?

Thanks,
Nial

Have a talk to a admin regarding being able to PM. As you have probably already noticed, the marketing of Ford, particularly Falcon is a touchy subject on these forums. PMing people instead of posting may avoid you getting asked questions that you probably have no control over.

Having driven an xr6t and a FG2 GT as daily drivers, the xr6t takes the cake. Unique motor that will never be replaced and overall the engine feels more properly matched to the transmission.
