Default Headlight fault

Hi All,

I have a late 2010 (2011 model) MC Titanium and it throws the headlight fault every now and then. I have not been able to narrow down why as it sometimes will not happen and other times will happen within a few minutes of the lights coming on.

All it seems to effect is the bending lights, so when the error happens the lights stop turning around corners.

Has anyone else experienced this?

James

I have not come across the problem myself, however I am lead to believe it has a control module for the headlights. That might be faulty. See if Ford can run a scan to diagnose. There are a few of these models in wreckers now, so you might be able to pick up another module cheap, or try eBay UK. Let us know how you go!

What is the message exactly - an error on the dash?
If you get yourself a $20 OBD reader it will be able to tell you much more specifically what is at fault.
