Default Keeping rego papers

Hey gys just tiding some files and in a file I have marked as regos/receipts I found rego and transfer papers from cars I haven't owned for over 10 years should I keep the transfer papers and rego certificates or just shred them and turf them or do I need to keep them

Keep for 7 years if for Tax reasons

BUT

Keep them forever cause for no other reason than you are a car guy and I wish I had the first rego I ever paid for my first car or regos for my bomb Sigma, XB Fairmont daily driver, XY Fairmont daily driver and XY GT....but they are all are gone...

If you dont need them for tax purposes just keep the current ones.

Dealers always ask for them at trade in time to get the engine number.
