Default Old Skool Magazine Thread!

This thread is for me to share my old magazines with everone! I hope everyone enjoys the old pics that I will post!

Here is the first magazine Im going to start with. One of my oldest Street Machine Magazine June-July 1983. I found a cool article on Phase and turning Xd-Xe into the famous Phase 5 and 6. Enjoy.

I've got that very magazine in my collection.

Can't wait to build in under the house we just bought and set up my man cave with all my old Street Machine and other motoring magazines in proper storage shelves instead of packed away in boxes.

I threw all my Street Machine magazines out when the current editor took over. I regret it now. But I kept Vol 1 when the change came from Van Wheels to Street Machine and couple of others.

Thats's a great idea mate! Perhaps the mods can make up a special section for this subject which I'm sure will prove to be a hit with alot of ol magazine tragics such as myself.

I've got every issue of Street mcahine including the preceding 10 Van Wheels issues + the 11th which was a compilation. (Also have Custom Vans & Trucks and every other 70's 80's mags. My shed is overflowing!)

Good onya mate

Cheers

Colin

Good timing. I'm just about to fire up my shredder and start shredding magasines from the 80's through until the last few years.

I think I have around 80 mags.

I never read them anymore and they are taking up some space. I tried to flog them off on Ebay, but no one was interested, so I figure their time has come.

Now my latest edition! Now I know this mag is not old skool as such (Performance Ford vol 8, 08) but its the old turbo XE I wanna focus on. My father in-law keeps asking my wife, "When are you going to turbo the XE (The Sheriff), when are ya getting the power??" just mucking around but it has got me thinking, I thought how cool would it be to turbo The Sheriff using the Dick Johnson Grand Prix XE Falcon setup (induction/exhaust). So I thought I would post up what I can find on DJ GPT XE. Sorry I didn't include the BA in as the article is huge and its not really old skool yet, I also need to focus on the Turbo 6 so if anyone could give me contacts or have parts for sale to turn me XE into a turbo like this shoot me a pm or email me. Cheers and enjoy.

p.s I'm going to add whatever I can find to this post if its about the XE Turbo. :)

Just found this now!! Some info from Street Machine issue April-May 85, What Dj thought of the turbo XE!!
