Top Gear, May issue has an interesting article on Suzuki India..the plant builds a car every 16 seconds, 3,500 a day or 62,500 a month..487,500 tonnes of steel, use 3,750,00 litres of fuel, just to get the cars out the door, by 2015 Suzuki India will be building 2,00,000 cars a year!!!!! stats are incredible!!!

I'd like to go inside one of the big Asian car plants. The Ford/Changan JV plant will have a capacity of 1.5 million units/pa by the end of the decade I think it was, and this is just to satisfy domestic demand...

Think that was TATA. Was a new plant for the Nano if I recall.

No it was a suzuki plant in india that builds the Alto city car where the riots happened.

Simple really they have the plant but we have the power. With the rise of the industry's will also rise the power of the unions.
