Default Show us your man cave.

Hey all.

The better half has given me the go ahead to convert half of one of our sheds into a man cave. So just after some ideas of what other people have done. photo's etc would be great.

Cheers

Lots of photos, posters, flags, etc should make you feel right at home. We also have out pc's in the shed now and a wall of gaming machines... In the process of converting some Fairlane seats in to a lounge. Will put some photos up when it is finished.

When I was working on a shopping centre we shared our dock space with a Sanity Music store. At the time they had a streetscape theme. Lots of rough brick work, exposed reo mesh, grey paint, 3 inch gal poles with barbed wire and street signs... lots of street signs.

Then they did a reno and a skip bin was full to the to with the lot. Went and asked the manager if I could have the signs and he said sure, but they are at the bottom of the bin below the pipes and other crap.

Called my dad to bring the trailer, he pilfered all the poles and I got the signs, about a dozen of them (stop, give way, no left / right turn etc etc etc)

Just need a cave now.... and my architect is in the final process of doing that for me ;)

I have two. One is a 6m x 4m 'Music room' I put in with the last reno. I do play guitar occasionally.. Sound proof to 100 decibals as per my meter. I mainly dim my lights and listen to music whilst surfing the ford forums and having a frosty. hehehe. Plenty of Instruments and the most important thing. A lock on the door. In fact the thing I love about the sound proofing is the sounds it keeps out (winging rugrats and other um ....residents of the house)

The other is my 5 x 5m shed. All mine. Currently half filled with carparts I bought through the post! Amazing thing this century. Who would have thought back when xa' were cruising the streets that we would be buying them bit by bit through the post on a computer. lol

My man cave is the spare room. We keep a bed there so mates drinking can crash over. The plan is to get my 18gallon home brew going, line the shelves with my stein collection, and have all the lads over for a few beers. Not allowed to line the walls with cool stuff unfortunately as its a rental, but I have just recently acquired a good denon sound system and will rig that up in there for some music and it has a sliding door to a paved and covered area for smokers. A pretty cool setup. Will get some photos up soon.
