Hi, i'm new to this forum so taking this opportunity to say hello and ask a quick question , I've owned a few Capri's before now and have recently purchased a 1970 GTV6 Capri.
Looking for new wheels and would appreciate if anyone can tell me what these wheels are called, where I could get a set, if someone has a set for sale or knows someone that has. I'd really like them on my capri. Cheers. |

They look a bit wide for a Mk1 Capri. They llok like 7" rims from here.
6" wide fits ok, 7" needs gaurds rolled/flared for clearance. I'm running 185/70R13 tyres, and I've seen 205/50R13on 6" rims (same rolling diameter). If going wide, check the clearance, esp. back spacing on the front. Beware also *too* wide and aquaplaning issues - it's a light car for big tyres, esp. at the rear with all that torque. The Mk2/3 shell had wider guards, and of course the giant killer RS3100 had flared guards at the front. |

You can fit 7" rims on the rear if you have correct back space as I have fitted 15x7 Superlights to back of my wifes V6 GTwith 225/50 tyres, from the look of that photo the rim offset is going to cause issues.

Can't say I've seen those wheels before - is this a pic taken recently or something from the past (noting the BF Goodrich with White lettering - gotta love the 80's).
I'd agree with the comments about the offset - I've got an Escort and have had 7 inch wheels that rubbed the front strut - the offset was narrower then factory wheels. I'm currently running 7's all round (different wheels) - found I couldn't run 205's but 185 or 195's are OK on it.

Hi all
Well I run 13x7 on the rear and 13x 6 on the front . Not my choice at all. But I really love 13x7 all way round . If you want to run 7 inch wheels on the front . You must have a offset of -20 to make it work under the standard guards . Unless you roll of flare the guards .. My next job on my car I hate 13 x6 wheels on the front .. They have no tuff look about them . These cars must look tuff and 13x 7 are the way to go . Cheers all |
